This AZ-25 model is John's pick for the best vintage tube integrated amplifier ever made.
Why? Here goes......
1. 6973 output tubes - similar sweet sound to EL84s and a little bit more power. (16wpc)
2. All 12AX7 small signal tubes - 7 of them. No noisy pentodes here.
3. Dual winding OPTs so you use all the copper in both 4 ohm and 15 ohm configuration. (Just like the original Leak 12.1)
4. DC on the filaments of all the 12AX7s....a nice touch for 1962.
5. Easy access toa low gain input for direct CD input without needing an attenuated lead as most pre 1964 amplifiers do.
6. And of course it is Thorens...so you know it is designed for the best possible phono reproduction.
This example is fully serviced and ready to use.
Rare in Australia.
